The Doctor Poster is in!
The CyberMonkeyDeathSquad screening of “Doctor Infierno” is only a couple of weeks away. Time to unveil the poster!
Magnificent Bastard sez:
April 29th is getting closer every day, and we’re all getting more excited about the screening of Doctor Infierno. I had a long chat with Javier today, and he’s got all sorts of things working, most of which I am sworn to secrecy about at this time, and some of which he won’t even tell ME yet, but they all sound amazing. I’ll go out on a limb and suggest that even if you’ve seen the movie before, you’ll be in for some new awesomeness.
As soon as we had the screening lined up, I started thinking about a poster. This is a great movie, a great event, and the screening deserved a poster. But not just any poster. This is an outrageous movie, and it needed an outrageous poster. But where was I going to find teh right artist to create the perfect poster? A call went out to the CyberMonkey crew, and Filmcans said he knew a guy. Yes, indeed, he knew a guy. A mysterious man who goes by the name of Bernard Gumz. All I know about him is that he’s a “weird pervert that enjoys watching old Jonny Quest cartoons and it is said that he spends his weekends urinating on the floors of fitting rooms in major department stores…he is also a fan of Tom Selleck’s work before 1990.” Who am I to judge?
I got an email from Bernard, gave him the barest of details, and shortly afterwards, I received the artwork for a poster than I can only describe as sick, twisted, completely unsuitable for mixed company, and utterly perfect for our screening. I shot a copy off to Paco to see what he thought. “ITS GREAT! I LOVE IT!”. I took that as approval, and the deal was done. And now, the grand unveiling!
Before you ask, yes, they will be available for purchase at the screening! Don’t miss this one, it’s going to be an event to remember, the first of what we hope will be many CyberMonkey screenings, and my favorite movie of the year. Get Your tickets here!
