Call of Duty: Black Ops Content Leaked

…a huge rumor abounds that new Downloadable Content (DLC) for Call of Duty: Black Ops was being planned for a May 5th release.

As our readers know, we at Cybermonkey strive to bring you the stuff you need to know about as soon as we ourselves find out.  It just so happens a few days ago, a friend on Xbox Live (hello Crazy Legs C!) zipped me a quick message informing me that a huge rumor abounds that new Downloadable Content (DLC) for Call of Duty: Black Ops was being planned for a May 5th release.  This was indeed exciting news so I had to do some quick research.  Turns out that an Australian retailer, GAME Australia, had briefly posted the initial poster tease and date but have since removed it from their site (which, as of this writing, is also down).  However, what we do know is March 3, there is almost a 100% chance that we will be treated to Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation.  Four new multiplayer maps and a zombie level.  From what I can determine,  the levels are called Zoo, Hotel, Convoy and Stockpile  with Call of the Dead being the name of the multiplayer map.  I am a pretty verbose guy but, sadly, this is all that leaked.  No price was quoted but the map packs generally retail for 1200 Microsoft points (equivalent to 15 real dollars) so start saving now.  The First Strike Map Pack was generally worth the money and the zombie level was worth the price of admission alone so this should head the top of the “things to do this summer” list and make Treyarch a whole  ton of cash (First Strike reportedly made $300 million for the developers so this I believe is more than a rumor).  As more information becomes available we will keep you updated (c’mon, you wanna know if you can let zoo animals out of their cages…or just shoot them and any new zombie news will keep me up at night) but in the interim, check out the leaked ad and get your mind ready for new content!
